Looking for a podcast? There are so many out there these days so it's always good to get recommendations. We found 6 to tell you about – 4 from friends and 2 we listen to regularly. Before we start with the programs, what is a podcast?
Simply put, a podcast is an audio program, just like Talk Radio, but you subscribe to it on your smartphone and listen to it whenever you like. In a little more detail, a podcast is a series of spoken word, audio episodes, all focused on a particular topic or theme, like cycling or startups. You can subscribe to the show with an app on your phone and listen to episodes whenever you like on your headphones, in the car or through speakers.

Justin Long is an actor who appeared in Jeepers Creepers and And He's Just Not That into You along with other films and tv series. My friend Liz likes his podcast and recommended it.

I’m also very curious what their favorite snack food is, and what emoji they use most often — ya know, the REALLY important stuff. Every episode I’ll get personal with all kinds of people, from actors to musicians to deep thinkers who fascinate me. My brother Christian is on hand each episode to keep me honest, and occasionally remind me about some of the embarrassing things I’ve done over the years. Smarless
Another podcast my friend Liz likes is Smartless with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett. Jason Bateman starred in Arrested Development along with Will Arnett and Ozark among other things. Will is also known for The Lego Batman movie as the voice of Batman. Sean Hayes starred in Will and Grace and produced the series Grim. This is their funny take on life with surprise guests every episode.
“SmartLess” with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, & Will Arnett is a podcast that connects and unites people from all walks of life to learn about shared experiences through thoughtful dialogue and organic hilarity. A nice surprise: in each episode of SmartLess, one of the hosts reveals his mystery guest to the other two. What ensues is a genuinely improvised and authentic conversation filled with laughter and newfound knowledge to feed the SmartLess mind.

My friend Paula told us about it, and to be honest, we haven't listened to it yet. But, we plan to.

We recently listened to an episode with Meredith Ford who tells her experiences as a writer, food critic, and restaurant owner. It's fascinating to get insight into the world of food service. She's an example of the creative minds they showcase each podcast.

To round out our list we have two podcasts based on Bravo tv shows. We watch Real Housewives and Southern Charm and both programs break the shows down every week. Both are hilarious, thorough, and offer tales of their personal lives so you feel like you get to know them.
