In the Ansley Park neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, there's a gallery open to the public that specializes in photography. The Atlanta Photography Group is a non-profit membership organization and its mission is to promote a love of photography and to support the photography community. The gallery showcases selected works of their member artists. It's free and open to the public. Exhibits start out with first-night shows and then are displayed for a period of time for you to visit and see them up close and personal. Images are available for purchase and you may find a new artist you love.
The gallery is a key piece of this overall organization. But, they do so much more in the artistic community.

It's fun tno go to the opening nights and feel the buzz of the new exhibits. They even have an annual pin it show where members can literally pin their photographs to the walls for all to see.
If you stop by the gallery during December, you'll find their Small Works Holiday Show. You can see work by APG members that are for sale, and rather than wait until the end of the exhibition, you can purchase a photograph and take it with you. Perfect for that unique holiday gift!
Ansley Park where the gallery is located is convenient to shops, parks, and the Atlanta Botanical Garden so a vsit to the gallery can turn into a longer day trip. A day with art in it is a good one.
The Atlanta Photography Group gallery will be open, Wednesday – Saturday, 11am – 7pm at 1544 Piedmont Road #107, Atlanta, Georgia 30324. It's in Ansley Mall and there's plenty of free parking.
