Goats on the Roof in Tiger, Georgia, is fun for all ages. Travel north outside Atlanta towards the mountains, and you'll happen upon GOTR on your left. Can't miss goats standing on roofs! We first read about it years ago in a parenting magazine but never went.

One summer day we hopped in the car and headed up. You'll also pass the bus graveyard on your way to the goat attraction. It's a big collection of abandoned buses that have now been artistically decorated and adorned. But, we digress. The goats venue sits on a corner on the way into the town of Tiger. You pull into a gravel parking lot and you can clearly see all the goats mulling about above you. There's a side pen too that you can view and pet them through the fence. The best thing to do is purchase a bucket of feed. They sell it in bags, but we can assure you the feed goes fast so a bag isn't enough. You want to spread the fun out.

Grab your bucket and feed them in 3 different ways. Ride a mechanical bicycle that ferries food in buckets up to them. Fill a bin with feed, crank a lever, and send the food up to the waiting goats, or you can hand feed them.

We've been going for a few years now and have taken quite a lot of pictures. I love the colors of the attractions and they do make your photos pop. Good for kid and family images.

They are open Wednesday through Monday. Closed on Tuesdays. We recommend messaging them on Facebook or calling before you venture out to ensure they're open. If you're hungry, they have a store with jams, jellies, homemade fudge, candy, and Nitrogen made ice cream. We had to have the ice cream and it was delicious! According to their recent updates on their site, they are offering a food truck now on certain days and times. Food looks good. It's a good time whether summer or winter. We went last year around the holidays. Visit with the goats, eat, and browse the main street in nearby Clayton. Go on a beautiful day and enjoy!
