Children need art and stories and poems and music as much as they need love and food and fresh air and play. If you don’t give a child food, the damage quickly becomes visible. If you don’t let a child have fresh air and play, the damage is also visible, but not so quickly. If you don’t give a child love, the damage might not be seen for some years, but it’s permanent. But if you don’t give a child art and stories and poems and music, the damage is not so easy to see. It’s there, though. Their bodies are healthy enough; they can run and jump and swim and eat hungrily and make lots of noise, as children have always done, but something is missing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-w3q8m7Htc Visit with some furry friends for a bit The kids and I were looking for a place near where we live that wasn’t a long drive to visit animals. Specifically, alpacas. We knew there were places in Georgia where you could see them. After a quick Google search, we found Creekwater Alpaca Farm in Snellville, Georgia. From the minute I saw it, I knew I wanted to stay there one day. Took a good number of years, but I made it in February 2018. We were going to Harry Potter World at Universal Studios and Cabana Bay is an on-site hotel for the parks. The resort was everything I was expecting when I saw its concept and more. It’s huge and sprawling in the best way. The entrance lobby is sky high with windows and through them you can see one of two huge swimming pools – the one with the water slide – as you check in. The check-in counter is long with a good number of staff and it was an easy process. There are…
