Atlanta Eats is a premiere television show in Atlanta, Georgia that features restaurants and dining establishments. It's a fun show to watch to discover joints to fine dining around the city. Steak Shapiro who was a popular radio and tv personality in Atlanta founded the show and serves as its host. Recently, we saw an episode centered around Tucker. Since Tucker is nearby to us, we decided to give one of the featured restaurants a try. We picked Ford's BBQ on Main Street. Opened in 2020, it's grown in popularity rather quickly.

My friend Laurie and I stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch, and it was just as good as advertised.

I chose the chopped brisket with sides of mac ‘n cheese and Brunswick Stew. I typically don't eat the stew but found this one to be pretty hardy with chunks of meat so it will be a repeat for me. I am a mac ‘n cheese aficionado. I try it everywhere it's offered and this one passed my test. Nice thick pasta with creamy cheese. The brisket was chunked and delicious with vinegar sauce. You have several options available in sauces. My friend had their special that day – brisket birria tacos. Again, delicious.

We didn't have an appetizer but I noticed they stood out with unique ingredients.

Street Corn with fire-roasted cob, spiced aioli, cojita cheese

Cornbread Waffle with jalapeno, cheddar, topped with butter, spices, and agave

I did try one of their craft cocktails, the Mezcal Mule. It was just the right combination of spice with a little sweetness. It had Pelaton Mezcal, fresh lime juice, and ginger beer. Very nice and going to be a repeat cocktail for me. We did make a rookie mistake I must confess. We took pictures but neglected to take the most important ones – our food! So, I've included the cover image and the ones below which are all courtesy of Ford's BBQ.

Definitely a place we'll go to again and quite possibly frequent. So, if you like bbq, put this restaurant on your list. If you enjoyed this review you might also like Little Bangkok in Atlanta on Cheshire Bridge is Good.
