Fall is our favorite season in this house, and we're excited about all of the fun things that come with it. Pumpkins and pumpkin bread make the season prettier and more flavorful. We recently found a recipe by Christina who writes A Homebody's Adventures blog where she features what she enjoys about the comforts of home. Reading, cooking, baking, party planning inspiration, and more. We decided to try baking her pumpkin bread so Tom read to me while I baked.
It's an easy recipe and the ingredients – except for the puree – are probably in your pantry. It takes about 10 minutes to prep it and approximately 1 hour to cook. For us, it took me about 20 minutes to prep since Tom insisted on telling me all about particular parts of a book so I had to keep pausing to listen. Our oven baked it in 50 minutes. I'd advise you to check at 45 minutes just in case.
The bread is extremely moist which is impressive compared to a lot you'll find that can be dry. As Christina notes, you can add-on to her recipe with a variety of things like chocolate chips, pecans, nuts, cinnamon glazing, cream cheese topping, or whatever you like. We want to try it with a cream cheese topping next time. It's a light pumpkin taste vs a stronger one like a pie. We'll definitely be making it again! Find Christina at A Homebody's Adventures and discover the great things she blogs about weekly.
