Tried a Thai and Chinese restaurant this week I've heard about forever while living in Atlanta. Little Bangkok is located down on Cheshire Bridge Road in a small strip mall. It's over 20 years old now and has a pretty loyal following. The first thing you need to know is that parking is tight. I bypassed the lot because people literally double park to fit in the space. I parked next door risking a tow truck since it was only for lunch. The restaurant is more traditionally decorated with Thai posters and menus on the walls. I sat in a booth surrounded by a crowd consisting of diners in suits obviously on their lunch hour, friends having lunch, and older couples. Nice atmosphere.
I ordered their Tom Ka soup to start. It was different from what I normally expect when it comes to this dish. A little thicker and a slight curry taste to it. Very good. I'd intended to order pad Thai but their salmon roll caught my eye. I didn't see it on the menu that was handed to me. It was on a paper menu covered by the glass table top. The picture of it was inviting. It was delicious with salmon and spinach rolled like a spring roll. Had a good sauce you could dip it in. It's not a heavily seasoned or spicy dish so you may need to ask for that if you prefer more of an intense taste.
I really enjoyed my lunch and plan to go back and try more things. It was fun to finally make the journey to a place you hear about and always mean to try.
