Marvelous Monday is here! The concept is simple and stress-free. I’m inviting my tea party friends – readers and friends – to post good things in their life on Mondays. Grab a macaroon and a cup of tea and join us. Or a cupcake. Whatever suits your fancy. Let’s dish! This week we're talking about 2 Halloween events in Atlanta and Richmond for all ages. I know there are readers here who have attended the Atlanta event and enjoyed it.

Capturing the Spirit of Oakland – Atlanta, Georgia

Capturing the Spirit of Oakland is an amazing tour that happens every October. Guests get the chance to stroll this Victorian cemetery after dark as it's backlit by the lights of the city. Your tour guides dress in period costumes and takes you on a tour down cobblestone paths amongst the burial plots, gardens, and mausoleums. You can read more about the tour with our earlier post here. The tour always sells out, and currently, you can only get tickets for Halloween night. How perfect is that date? Go in a group or duo or bring kids who are older and want to do something for the night other than trick o' treating. Halloween in a cemetery, imagine!

Need more spookiness in your life? Chris Semtner is an artist, author, and curator for Richmond's Poe Museum. This Saturday, October 23, 2021, he is performing as Edgar Allan Poe and telling his tales of terror at the haunted Byrd Park Pump House. We've seen Chris perform in person and he does an amazing job. Tickets are on sale now and they benefit Byrd Park and the Poe Museum.

Two great things to do just in time before October 31st. It's our favorite time of year and the more activities the better. As always, if you go or liked this post, please comment below.
