Marvelous Monday is our brand spanking new name for our former “Monday Madness” feature. Madness was a play on the Mad Hatter's tea party from Alice in Wonderland. We don't want readers to mistake the feature and view it in a negative light so we thought a change would be needed. The goal, however, remains the same.

Marvelous Monday is here! The concept is simple and stress-free. I’m inviting my tea party friends – readers and friends – to post good things in their life on Mondays. Grab a macaroon and a cup of tea and join us. Or a cupcake. Whatever suits your fancy. Let’s dish!

This week we're talking about a popular resource for bloggers. The Thrive Blogging Network was founded by Breanna Pair. Thrive, according to their description, is “a conference, online educator and podcast for bloggers”. Their network offers mentorship, podcasts, resources, and a Facebook community.

I mainly want to talk about their podcasts. I love to listen to them as I drive. I've learned a lot. Bree Pair invites industry experts and influencers to the show to discuss the business side of blogging, gaining page views, why video content is important, and much more. Before listening to one of her guests, Liz Wilcox, I had no idea how important a newsletter and email list were. Yes, sorry guys I'm not the best at writing newsletters consistently but I plan to now! Liz talked about the importance of keeping in touch with your followers – you know people who like you. I highly recommend you check out her podcast:

The podcasts help hone your ideas about what a blog can be. The tips from other bloggers and encouragement have helped me feel empowered and that I'm not blogging out here by myself. There's room for everyone and you can learn from their experiences. The podcasts are free and you can also take Thrive's free class on the business of organizing your blog. Once you complete the class you have the option to continue with a paid membership to their mentoring program. I have not joined but plan to in the future. For now, I'll be soaking up what I can from their shows.

So grab your teacup and a macaroon or a cookie and start listening. I promise it's worth it. Have a Marvelous Monday and a good week!
