New Year’s Eve is one of my favorite times of the year. Since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with one year turning into a new one. Seems magical at midnight with the whole world counting down and your calendars changing. A couple of years ago, we bought a new house. I wanted to bless it in every way possible in the new year. And, 2019 turned out miles better than 2020! I found my pictures and post from that year and have added a new goal to the list. The last on the list involves grapes, however, we won’t be doing those this time since I’m not going out to one more grocery store this week. We’ll do it next year. Celebrations may be smaller in 2020 but you can have fun at home with these simple traditions for New Year’s Eve. Travel In many Latin American countries, New…

Queen Elizabeth the Second spoke of spreading kindness amongst all nations and people being the light in the world. This year has been one of incredible loss and distance from loved ones yet it has brought everyone together in a united way. We’ve experienced an event that has affected the world and in many ways tied us together. May we continue to be the light in each other’s worlds and remember kindness and compassion as we move towards a better 2021. https://youtu.be/uSftQu9rnBA

Christmas lights are one of the most enjoyable sights to see every year. Our family likes getting in the car after dinner and checking out our favorite displays and finding new ones. There are great neighborhood displays around Atlanta that thrill visitors every year and often take donations for non-profits like the Make A Wish foundation. A single-family or multiple ones get together to decorate their yards and share the holiday spirit. Below are some top ones around Atlanta and in surrounding counties. We found even more light displays that we’ll feature in another post. Holiday lights are a way to bring joy to your life so we hope you visit these neighborhoods! Please make sure you check their websites and Facebook pages before venturing out to make sure weather hasn’t affected their display hours. The magic of social media is discovering events in the city you live in. World of Illumination is billed as “the World’s Largest Drive-Thru Animated Light Show” and it can kick off your holiday season with a bang. It’s better than virtual since you can actually be in it safely outside of cyberspace. We found about it through a friend’s Facebook post and immediately booked tickets because we knew it was going to take off in the Atlanta area. WOI takes over a theme park and brings hundreds of interactive displays with a million lights to you while you are safely seated in your car. No need to walk around or wait in lines to see the sights. World of Illumination has opened 3 separate locations in the United States in 2020. STANDS is once again teaming up with the cast and crew of Supernatural for a great cause. Supernatural’s stars regularly use show logos and characters in STANDS merchandise to support non-profits and communities. In the past, they’ve raised money for hunger, hurricane relief, pandemic support, and suicide awareness. Supernatural is the longest running series on the CW network and has given us 15 amazing seasons. It is hands down my absolute favorite show. I’ve purchased quite a bit of their partner STANDS merchandise over the years and been really pleased with it. Personally, I’ll be purchasing the Sam and Dean necklace and the Impala holiday tee. I want to point out that I have no affiliation with Stands other then the fact I love their merchandise. I like to post their promotions because I personally shop with the site and love the shirts I’ve purchased. New! Misha Collins’ “For Love” Tee$25.99 · 100% of profits will benefit True…

Swooped into my local Homegoods store yesterday – in and out with social distancing all the way. I’m not affiliated with them, simply a Homegoods addict. Halloween items are trickling in, and as always, you need to hit up lots of their locations to discover everything because they seem to individually order for their own stores. They have diversified items this year with a mix of elegant, vintage-looking, and Disney inspired merchandise. Added lots of choices in Halloween pillows which is thrilling! I need more decorative pillows like a hole in the wall and I may have to start hiding them from my husband, John. So tempting the choices! [envira-gallery id=’5047′] Disney merchandise might have been in the stores in the past, but I hadn’t noticed it. Not a big Disney merch fan. I have friends who like it though so I did notice more items on this trip. [envira-gallery…
