We have two cat rescues here at Poe in Wonderland – Zazzles (tortoiseshell) and Binx (jet black). I and all three of my sons volunteered for 11 years with one of the southeast’s largest pet organizations Furkids. To say we like cats is an understatement. We have an earlier post you can read here where we tried out their laser cat toy. We were so pleased with it that we wanted to test out another one. So, Zazzles and Binx tried the Mr. Pouncey Interactive Cat Toy.
The toy is battery-operated and has 4 speeds. A mouse moves around the circle in unpredictable patterns and hides underneath the domes. Our cats immediately were drawn to the sound and action of the toy.
They liked the fact that it runs on 4 speeds to keep them stimulated. Besides watching it, they can put their paws on the mouse. It does hamper the mouse and the toy makes a whirring sound but eventually, they released it and the mouse went back to running around the board. No harm done.
The toy runs for 10 minutes of play and shuts off so cats can't get overstimulated, but no worries if your kitty wants to play more. You simply push the button to extend playtime. Binx usually likes to go past the standard 10 minutes.
