Located in an ideal venue space on Carnegie Way downtown it’s easy enough to get to. The exhibition is in town until the end of February so you have a chance to see it. You get to see movie props – Tom Riddle’s diary, resurrection stone, Ravenclaw diadem and more, costumes, learn background details from the film, and there are some interactive pieces too. The official site’s description is as follows: “Harry Potter™: The Exhibition is a groundbreaking touring exhibition that celebrates the iconic moments, characters, settings, and beasts as seen in the Harry Potter™ film series and the Wizarding World. This unique in-depth exhibition delights visitors through powerful storytelling and innovative, interactive technology and features original props and costumes.” The interactive…

Did you know that the Poe Museum in Richmond, Virginia is home to two black cats – Edgar and Pluto? Ten years ago a group of black kittens were found beside the Poe bust in the Enchanted Garden. Their mama and siblings went to homes and the other two are the mascots at the venue. They are also the stars of their very own calendar and they are for sale beginning November 25th. You can, however, get them early if you’re a Poe Museum member. You can join here. You can read more about them in our post “The Poe Museum’s Cats”. You can also follow their adventures on Instagram @edgarandpluto.

They say write what you know and like so I thought I’d share one of my favorite tv shows. Midsommer Murders is a British murder mystery series that’s been on the air since 1997 and still going strong. It’s the longest running contemporary detective drama in UK’s television history. If you love mysteries like me, you’ll enjoy it. With 22 seasons and well over 100 episodes, it’s a binge-worthy watch. Here’s a summary of the show from IMDB: Based on the crime-novel series by author Caroline Graham, `Midsomer Murders’ follows the efforts of Detective Chief Inspector John Barnaby to solve crimes that occur in the wealthy, isolated English county of Midsomer, a picturesque and peaceful place on the outside but one filled with amoral and snobbish eccentrics with all kinds of vices.  Pictured are Barry Jackson, John Nettles, and Lucy Punch.
